Review: Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston

Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston
My Rating:4 of 5 stars

Synopsis:

Seventeen-year-old actress Kelley Winslow thinks that playing the role of the fairy queen Titania in a production of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream could be her lucky break - if she can pull it off. But when she meets the handsome Sonny Flannery, Kelley has to face the shocking truth that the world of Faeries is all too real - and that she is an unwitting part of it. Sonny warns Kelley that she is no mere mortal, and that she is being haunted by powerful forces from the Faerie realm. Now, Kelley must come to terms with her heritage - and her growing feelings for Sonny - if she wants to save not only herself, but also the human world that she holds dear.

My Thoughts:

This book is about Kelley, who is an actor in a play. She meets Sonny, who seems to be always around. The same night she meets him, she saves a horse. She goes home and the horse follows her there. The horse gets into her tub and refuses to leave. Things just keep getting stranger. Between, the horse that refuses to leave her tub to demon dogs, Kelley is just trying to keep up with what is going on around her. Sonny is determined to keep her safe and find out why the demon dogs are after her. She learns a lot about herself and her family that she didn't know. With her destiny looming over her, she has decisions to make. Decisions that could affect both mankind and Fae.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I enjoyed it immensely. I kind of wish that this was the 2nd book and the first had more of the background story. The story line is interesting. I like the whole fairies stole my child so I stole the king's child story. This book takes place as the children are now adults. I would definitely recommend this book.
