Suspended (The Vagabond Circus, #1) by Sarah Noffke

Suspended (The Vagabond Circus, #1)Suspended by Sarah Noffke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It was an interesting take on a circus. I thought Finley was a bit moody but overall a good guy that acted like he was a tough guy. I was a bit disappointed at the end when she couldn't forgive him for not telling her what was going on. He did try to save Dave and it wasn't his fault that he was killed.

Overall, this was a good book and I am looking forward to reading more at a later date.

One Black Rose (One Black Rose, #1) by Maddy Edwards

One Black Rose (One Black Rose, #1)One Black Rose by Maddy Edwards
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book but it is really a 3.5 not a 4. These fairies are fighting because Autumn and Holt want to be together but they think she should be with Samuel. Samuel hasn't even shown the slightest bit of interest in her. In fact, he treats her like he hates her. His family treats her like they own her and nobody seems to care about what she wants.

Despite my irritation with the way Autumn is treated, this book is well written. It also sucked me in immediately. I will most likely read book 2 but it will probably make me want to throw something at these fictional characters LOL.

Once Upon a Heist by Ashley Hodges Bazer

Once Upon a HeistOnce Upon a Heist by Ashley Hodges Bazer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book! The author took the fairy tale princesses that we all know and love and gave them an all new story-line. These girls are kick-ass heroines that take matters into their own hands. They work together to pull off the heist of all heists. This book will not disappoint. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Jenny Pox (The Paranormals, #1) by J.L. Bryan

Jenny Pox (The Paranormals, #1)Jenny Pox by J.L. Bryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was totally different than most paranormal books that I have read. Jenny is afraid to touch people because her touch can literally kill. Then we meet Seth and Ashleigh. The world will not be the same with these three running around. Is it really possible that there is a power worse than the power to kill with a single touch?

I really enjoyed this book. It pulled me in and kept me intrigued the whole way thru. I am very interested to see what comes next for Seth & Jenny. Is there even a town left after all this?

Awoken (The Lucidites, #1) by Sarah Noffke

Awoken (The Lucidites, #1)Awoken by Sarah Noffke
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I read this as part of a reading marathon led by the author. This book was so good I had a really hard time keeping to the 5 chapters per night schedule. I would "accidentally" read too many chapters and get ahead of the rest of the group. The whole concept of the book is a new one for me. I think this is the only book I have read with Dream Travelers and I was immediately pulled into the world created by the author. I am looking forward to starting book 2 on Sunday (I want to start now but the group isn't starting until then so I will behave and wait- LOL) .

Seriously, for anyone who likes fantasy books, you will not want to miss out on this book.

Farewell to the M.B.R.C.? (Magical Beings' Rehabilitation Center, #2)Farewell to the M.B.R.C.? by K.M. Shea
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book but I really wish some of the characters were in the book more. Frey and Devin are not in it enough. I really love the connection between Devin and Morgan but they are rarely ever in the same room together.

My Life at the MBRC (Magical Beings' Rehabilitation Center, #1)My Life at the MBRC by K.M. Shea
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was definitely different than I expected but I enjoyed it a lot. I really liked all the characters but I kept changing which guy was my favorite- LOL. At the beginning I really liked Frey, then it was Devin and then Hunter. In the end, I have to say Devin was my favorite male character in the book. I am rooting for Morgan and Devin to get together late in the series. The only bad thing about this book is that there is not enough Devin!! There needs to be more Devin! LOL ! I am looking forward to book 2.

I really enjoyed this little spin on the story of Cinderella. I wasn't expecting the story to twist the way it did. If you enjoy fairy tale re-tellings like I do, then you will love this story.

How (Not) to Love a Hero (Cindy Eller, #7) by Elizabeth A. Reeves

How (Not) to Love a Hero (Cindy Eller, #7)How (Not) to Love a Hero by Elizabeth A. Reeves
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed book 7 of this series. Cindy and Timothy were so good together early on in the series that it was a bit disappointing that they were having so many problems. It was nice to see them work it out and finally get the happy ending that they deserve. As the Seraphine, Cindy always had trouble making her two worlds merge the way she wanted. Now that she is the Seraphim, I am anxious to see how she makes it work. Will she have to give up the bakery? This series has been absolutely delightful so far and I am looking forward to reading more of this series.

Wicked Ugly Bad (A Kinda Fairytale, #1) by Cassandra Gannon

Wicked Ugly Bad (A Kinda Fairytale, #1)Wicked Ugly Bad by Cassandra Gannon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forget all the fairy tales you heard growing up. They were all wrong! The ones you thought were the innocent ones are not quite as innocent as it seems. The "Goodies" have locked the "Baddies" in the Wicked, Ugly and Bad Mental Health Treatment Center and Maximum Security Prison. Well, at least the "Baddies" that are not their servants. Scarlett, Cinderella's step-sister has had enough. She thinks people are not all bad or all good and she dreams off a world where equality exists. First, she has to escape. Her "True Love" Marrok is determined to help her just to keep her safe no matter what.

I absolutely loved this book. I giggled and laughed my way through the wonderful antics in this book. The "Goodies" are not so good and the "Baddies" are not quite so bad. Marrok and Scarlett are definitely my favorite characters. The way Snow White was portrayed really made me laugh and Cinderella was as evil as they come. I have already obtained a copy of book 2 and I plan to read that next.

Beast in Shining Armor (A Kinda Fairytale #2) by Cassandra Gannon

Beast in Shining Armor (A Kinda Fairytale, #2)Beast in Shining Armor by Cassandra Gannon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ms. Gannon did it again. This book was just as good as book 1. Moody Prince Avenant is back to get his kingdom returned to him. This puts him up against Belle. These two just love to argue with each other. Does he tell the poor girl that he is head over heels for her? No, of course not. No, he argues with her and tricks her into a competition. Things don't go quite as he planned because the labyrinth is more dangerous than he expected.

I absolutely loved this book as much as book 1. Avenant and Belle are perfect for each other. They bicker and argue but it is only because they care so much about each other. Neither one wants to admit that they have a weakness. I really hope the author plans a book 3 because I really want to see what happens to Esmeralda after her trip down the rabbit-hole!

Undead and Unemployed (Undead, #2) by MaryJanice Davidson

Undead and Unemployed (Undead, #2)Undead and Unemployed by MaryJanice Davidson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I seem to be hopping around this series out of order but it doesn't seem to matter. I enjoy it just as much out of order. I love how sarcastic Betsy is. She doesn't want to be undead, the Queen of the undead or stuck with the king of the undead. Nothing seems to be within her control these days. Will I read more of this series? Definitely!
