Review: Fate Succumbs

Fate Succumbs Fate Succumbs by Tammy Blackwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this series. It grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go. I really like that Scout and Liam are together in the end. I am still kind of confused about how it is possible for a dead shifter to DreamWalk. Other than that, I absolutely loved the story line and can't wait to read more about the shifter world this author has created.

Review: Time Mends

Time Mends Time Mends by Tammy Blackwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, I am even more confused than I was at the end of the first book if that is even possible. Book 1 left me hoping that Alex was still alive. Book 2 has me wondering why everyone is so determined to kill her. Poor Scout is confused and has no idea what is going on around her. Liam's whole part in her rescue has me wondering who and what he really is. Is Alex really dead and will all her friends and brother make it out alive? I have soooo many questions. Yes, the author has made it almost impossible for me to not want to read book 3 immediately. I guess I will be heading to Amazon to find a copy...

Review: Bloodstone

Bloodstone Bloodstone by S.E. Akers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book picks up where the last one left off. Danger lurks at every turn for poor Shiloh. Everyone wants her diamond powers and she has no idea who she can trust (other than Katie). Poor Katie just wants her body back and being stuck in a diamond is not much fun. Plus everyone she knows thinks she is dead. This book is full of drama and a touch of romance. I can't wait to see what danger and excitement awaits in book 3.

Review: The Cinderella Theorem

The Cinderella Theorem The Cinderella Theorem by Kristee Ravan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story. I loved learning about all the fairy tale characters after their story ends. I could have done without all the math equations- they just made my head spin. I can't wait to read book 2 to see if Lily & Calo have a future.

Review: You Make Me

You Make Me You Make Me by Erin McCarthy
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This book was ok. Caitlyn was a big dramatic. She completely changed her personality when she went to college. She didn't want to be the person she was growing up. She is in a relationship with one guy when one from her past shows up. She is all over the place, almost schizophrenic in her actions. She is all over the place in her emotions and actions. It seems to be one extreme or the other with this character. I really found it hard to relate this character at all.

Review: Bone Maker

Bone Maker Bone Maker by D.F. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I picked this book up for the Wobble chain challenge. I chose it for the title and didn't have a clue what it was about. The book drew me in immediately and didn't let me go. At 50%, I had an idea who all was involved in the murder and was waiting for it all to unravel. The mystery was kind of predictable but the author wrote it so well that I couldn't put it down. The suspense of the book had me in its thrall. I would definitely read more of this series or anything else by this author.

Review: Ashes and Bones

Ashes and Bones Ashes and Bones by Dana Cameron
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I did not read any of the series before this book but I was able to piece together some of what had previously happened. I knew who was behind all the problems pretty early on since Emma was pretty much screaming his name at anyone who would listen (and they all told her she was wrong). I couldn't figure out how he was doing all of it at first but it was all revealed piece by piece. I kind of wish that the author hadn't revealed who was behind everything so quickly but the book was written well enough to make me not want to put it down until it was over.

Review: True Born

True Born True Born by Lara Blunte
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was ok. There are love triangles and betrayals all through this book. It is a good read if you want to read a romance. There wasn't anything that really stood out to me though. I may pick up book 2 sometime in the future but there are a lot of other books that I am interested in above this one.

Review: Rehab Is For Witches

Rehab Is For Witches Rehab Is For Witches by Cynthia Valero
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this story. I love the way that it is told in 6 different perspectives. 6 different girls that didn't even like each other at first. I really love how they worked together in the end and found that they had a lot on common. I also loved how these authors worked together to write such an awesome book. I would love to read anything by any of these authors.

I loved this book just as much as the rest of the series. I would love to read more books with future generations of Lucidites or for the current ones as well. I would love to read more about George (maybe with someone new). I have and will read more books by this author!

Review: Talisman

Talisman Talisman by S.E. Akers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I loved learning about the Talismans and their corresponding gemstones. I was sad that Shiloh had to lose so many loved ones. I especially enjoyed her sister's surprise when their mother took Shiloh's side for the 1st time (even if she didn't do it without a bit of magical assistance- LOL). This book was definitely worth the read and I will be looking for book 2.

Review: Stuck with a Stiff

Stuck with a Stiff Stuck with a Stiff by D.D. Scott

I really enjoyed this story. I think the best part of this story is the reasoning behind the crime and how it backfired. I would definitely read more by this author.

Review: Demon Princess: Demon Kingdom Fairy Tales Book One

Demon Princess: Demon Kingdom Fairy Tales Book One Demon Princess: Demon Kingdom Fairy Tales Book One by Kassandra Lynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the almost fairy tale aspect to it. I was really rooting for Adriana and Keldran. Aldric was really horrible to the poor girl and I didn't much like him but he needed to be that way for the story to work. I really hope that book 2 has something better in store for Adriana and Keldran.

Review: Stone and Spark

Stone and Spark Stone and Spark by Sibella Giorello
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This mystery held my attention. I really didn't guess who kidnapped her friend until she finally put the pieces together. You literally had to read the whole story to know who was responsible, which is what really got me. A lot of mysteries I can guess before I am even half way thru but this one got me. I plan to read more by this author.

I really enjoyed this little mystery. I love the romance entangled throughout the book. I would love to see Savannah and Rafe finally get together. Todd is boring and obviously not for her.

Review: Follow My Lead

Follow My Lead Follow My Lead by Kate Noble

I really enjoyed this book. I loved how something like a painting could lead two people to each other. I loved Jason and Winn. George was too controlling but Jason was supportive and protective of her. I would definitely read more by this author.

Review: Cinderella

Cinderella Cinderella by May Sage
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this modern take on Cinderella. I love how the fairies were incorporated into the story and that the prince was so normal. I like that he knew her when they were younger instead of a chance meeting at a ball. Oh and the idea of a weekend long festival to find a wife among all his people was interesting. I laughed at the criteria he laid out for contestants and again when that same criteria eliminated the people that followed it. This book is definitely geared towards adults and I can't wait to read book 2.

Review: The Witch

The Witch The Witch by Gail Roughton

This book was ok. I had a hard time with Ariel being engaged to one guy and all of a sudden breaking her engagement and becoming engaged to a guy she barely knew. Other than the insta-love thing this was an decent read.

Review: The Avalon Relics: Lailan Crown

The Avalon Relics: Lailan Crown The Avalon Relics: Lailan Crown by J. Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story. Damien disappointed me. I really can't believe what he did. I really liked Michael and I do hope she ends up with him. I did feel that the book was incomplete. They didn't complete the mission and the book just ended. I definitely plan to read more of the series because I did enjoy this book so much. I would have given this book 5 stars if it hadn't abruptly ended.

The Handmaiden's Necklace The Handmaiden's Necklace by Kat Martin

This is a nice romance. I really enjoyed the fact that they go a second chance to get love right. I enjoyed the little twist of who was out to get them. This is definitely worth the read for the romance lovers out there.

Review: Quivers and Quills

Quivers and Quills Quivers and Quills by Michelle Lashier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this book!! Wouldn't it be great to be able to time travel and meet famous people in history? Joanna & Jill meet the illustrious Robin Hood (whom historians around the world still haven't proven if he really existed or was just a made up ballad) and become part of the legend itself. Joanna solves the mystery of 2 murders while Jill teaches Robin what he can do to really make a difference in the world (and become the legend he was meant to be). Neither of the twins come back the same as they were when they went back in time.

I loved how they met the future versions (21st century) of the men they cared about from the 12th century after arriving back home. I am definitely putting the rest of this series on my TBR list.

Review: Crap Kingdom

Crap Kingdom Crap Kingdom by D.C. Pierson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was definitely interesting. Tom was the "Chosen One" and then he was replaced with his best friend. Oh and the kingdom had toilets that people drank from, looked like a town full of homeless people and they didn't like optimism. Crap Kingdom is funny and definitely worth the read.

Review: Three Quarters Dead

Three Quarters Dead Three Quarters Dead by Richard Peck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! this is not quite like any other ghost story I have ever read. In a way, it was quite creepy that they could come back and do all the things they did. This book is definitely worth the read for anyone who likes a good ghost story.

Review: The Goddess Rules

The Goddess Rules The Goddess Rules by Clare Naylor
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an enjoyable romance. The MC is dating a real loser. One of those guys that play with you but don't really respect you. Waiting in the wings is a wonderful guy who has been in love with her for years. Of course, the loser notices and tries to keep her and she is foolish enough to fall for it (as many of us tend to do from time to time). There is a lot of personal growth and friendship as well in this book. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: Grave Mercy

Grave Mercy Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. Ismae had a lot to learn in this book. Sometimes, the people you trust don't really deserve the blind trust and faith that you put in them. She went from a weak heroine who was sold off by her father to a strong, independent woman who could think for herself.

Review: Unlucky In Love

Unlucky In Love Unlucky In Love by Carmen DeSousa
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I would actually rate this a 3.5 stars. This book is about a woman whose husband cheats on her after 15 years of marriage. She begins a journey to find herself and a fulfilling career. I love how she learns that she doesn't need a man and can stand on her own two feet. This book was definitely worth the read.

Review: Highland Lady

Highland Lady Highland Lady by Colleen French
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I really liked Elen and Munro but their siblings left a lot to be desired. That is what made this book so successful, though. You need villains to make the heroes and heroines stand out. I love how independent and full of spirit Elen was. I would definitely read more by this author.
