This mystery was interesting with all the Aztec folklore weaved into the story. Maria and Rod were likable characters. I think the only problem I had with the book is the slow start. There was so much backstory that it felt like it took forever to get into the plot. Other than that, I really enjoyed the story and overall it is a good read.
