Review: Accidental Detective: Book 1

Accidental Detective: Book 1 Accidental Detective: Book 1 by Kate Benitez
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Synopsis:

Hot and Steamy Amateur Sleuth Series!
Anneliese Nottingham.... a bridal consultant at the top of her game… until a friendly word to a VIP client lands her in hot water and out of the only career she's known. With no income and her savings dwindling with every rent check, she's desperate to find work.

Leo McKenzie... playboy private investigator running an exclusive detective agency for the rich and famous. His services are in high demand, and they don’t come cheap. Ex-Special Forces, muscle-bound and incredibly wealthy, he’s the pillar of tact and discretion. When a bizarre case connected to Anneliese's firing comes to his door, the two are thrown together and the sparks fly.

He's an alpha male who's used to working alone. But she's a strong woman who aspires to be like the female private investigators she's always admired. Can they solve the crime together while keeping it strictly professional or will their undeniable attraction get the better of them?

Find out in the flirty and humorous first installment of this amateur women sleuths romance!

My Thoughts:

This is a short enjoyable story. I was a bit disappointed that the reader wasn't let in much on the investigation. Overall, it is an ok story. Will I read book 2? Maybe but it would fall way down in line on my TBR.
