Review: The Holiday From Hell

The Holiday From Hell The Holiday From Hell by Demelza Carlton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Synopsis:

Melody Angel races to stop Lucifer from returning to Hell and his devilish ways, but with the burned-out angel's soul barely clinging to her body, the clock is ticking until she's summoned home to Heaven.

Luce whisks Mel away on a romantic vacation that turns into the holiday from Hell. When a troublesome imp steals Luce's most prized possession, even the once-proud Lord of Hell isn't sure he can succeed as he's forced to fight for Mel's heart and soul.

In the fight between good and evil, angels and demons, not even Heaven knows who will win.

My Thoughts:

I was excited when I realized that I could read this book for the Super Series challenge on Goodreads. This is one of my favorite series (definitely not for kids!). I just love how you are reading along and all of a sudden a character says or does something that makes you laugh out loud. My husband must think I am nuts when I read these books. The text messages that poor Lucifer kept getting were making me giggle... a lot. Especially after he has been trying so hard to be good. I found the concept of Hell & the Underworld being two different places interesting. I can't wait to see how things go in the next book with Lucifer and Hades both fighting for control of Hell. There is just something about this series that I can't resist. So glad that I got to read it first for this challenge.
