My Thoughts:
Cover/Title: The series name is what made me pick up the book. However, the cover is pretty and the title fits well.Characters: I enjoyed reading about this group of friends. I wish the author had done a bit more background for the characters. The reader doesn't really learn much about them until towards the end of the book.
Plot: Teens with abilities attend a special school. Kassia has more trouble controlling her abilities than most of them. Then her friend is attacked and Kassia is forced to use her abilities against the attackers. This lets the demons know that she exists. Now her friends are helping her try to hide from them.
Overall: I enjoyed this story immensely. My only real issue is the lack of depth of the characters. The reader doesn't really connect with them that well. However, this seems to be the case in a lot of series. Book 1 ends up being the background of the series. I will be looking forward to more in book 2.
