Review: Point Blank

Synopsis:

When an investigation into a series of mysterious deaths leads agents to an elite prep school for rebellious kids, MI6 assigns Alex Rider to the case. Before he knows it, Alex is hanging out with the sons of the rich and powerful, and something feels wrong. These former juvenile delinquents have turned well-behaved, studious—and identical—overnight. It's up to Alex to find out who is masterminding this nefarious plot, before they find him.

My Thoughts:

The book started off with Alex pulling a stunt that was very ironic one it played out. I could just picture the chaos that would follow a stunt like that. Of course, this puts Alex back with the MI6 for another mission. This mission takes him to an elite school for rich boys. This school is beyond strange and things are not as they seem. In fact, they are down right creepy. I like that he makes friends with James but I feel this character is kind of flat. You barely get to know him before all the action goes down. Then after all the action dies down, Alex doesn't even ask about his friend. I just wish there was a bit more character building so I might actually like some of the other characters. Overall, it was a good book.
